Due to the current economic climate and a general lack of customers we are sad to announce that Nippers Northampton has had to close :(

The current stock is available in a job lot if anybody is interested. The RRP of the stock is in the region of £10k and we are open to offers over £2k.

New Pet Shop arrives at the Garden Village

Finally it has arrived!! There is a nice new pet shop opening on Friday 1st May. The pet shop is located in the lower mall alongside Nippers, Potz, The furniture shop and the factory shoe store. There will be a wide variety of animals for sale as well as all the normal pet store merchandise.

Our stock change is well under way. We have a some real bargains in store at the moment, some with 50% discount!!

With the new year now upon us and Christmas well and truly over we are forced to look to the harsh reality that the UK is in a recession. We are seeing large high st names such as Woolworth and Adams falling by the wayside and more and more people being faced with a new year without work. The retail sector as a whole is suffering and the survivors will be the companies who are offering extraordinary levels of service at prices that represent excellent value for money. In our particular field, children's clothing, we are seeing the large established stores such as Mothercare continuing to keep their head above water as they continue to trade on a well developed and well known brand. Small specialist companies such as ours who do not have the benefit of global brand awareness and vast sums of money to promote the business, have to rely upon quality of service and value for money. The business ethic at Nippers Northampton has always been one of supplying a quality product at an affordable price, we keep our overheads low and our standards high. 2009 looks like being a tough year for everybody and we at Nippers Northampton are starting the year by offering a 15% reduction on everything in the store by working on the basis ( in the words of a much larger concern) "Every Little Helps"

With Christmas nearly upon us and the increased pressure to find bargains for our family & friends a visit to Billing Garden Village is a must!.. With the latest addition to the shopping mall being a quality furniture outlet this new shop compliments the 16 existing stores on the site. We now have a wide variety of stores all on the one site all providing quality goods or enjoyable entertainment. The following shops are just a few: Potz ceramics - you and your family can design and paint your own personalised piece of pottery, it's great fun and an interesting way to spend a few hours. Animal House - The pet store that not only sells feed and bedding but also a wide variety of animals, keep your eye out for Oli the rat who roams around the till point. The meating place - quality meat for Christmas.. this is the place to go and then just next door you have an excellent farm shop! In the lower mall there is also a footwear retailer.. Just the place to buy that pair of slippers! and not to forget Nippers Northampton where you can buy a variety of children's clothing for those Christmas gifts.

As we head towards the end of October and enter the Winter months our attention is starts to be drawn towards that word that all parents dread..... CHRISTMAS. This year, more than most, Christmas is going to be difficult for numerous people. The credit crunch, if that what you want to call it, is taking it's toll in just about every walk of life. Inflation is rising and the economy is shrinking. The pound in your pocket is worth far less than it was just twelve months ago and there are no signs of it getting any better. Here at Nippers we are very conscious of the need to provide value for money and our winter lines have been specifically chosen with value in mind. Call in and take a look at the wide range of winter clothing from hats and gloves to scarves and coats.

As our so called summer starts to draw to an end it's now time for us to start to introduce our winter ranges. The remaining summer stock is now being sold of at SALE prices... Yes our already competitive prices have been cut further in order to make way for our winter clothing.

When you visit the shop don't forget to ask about "D" our daft rabbit. D was very poorly as a baby bunny and it was touch and go as to whether she would make it but she is now doing very well and although she does some rather daft things at times she is healthy and happy and loves to see visiting children and parents.

As we approach July it's feels as if our new clothing outlet has been running for months when in actual fact we have just about completed our first month! The store is now taking shape and word is starting to spread about the fantastic prices that we are offering on our Disney children's clothing. Our customer feedback has been very positive and we have been listening to the comments regarding items that people would like to see available in the store. We are now, at the request of our customers, also catering for the slightly older child with clothing ranges available for anything upto 12 years of age. As the school holidays approach we are building up our stocks to ensure that our customers will be able to kit out their children in the latest designs of quality clothes before they take them off to the beaches on the family holiday.

We will be updating this blog with any items that we think will be of use to our customers, We will let you know about new lines and provide any information that may be useful when considering shopping in the Billing Garden Village Mall.
